慶長9年に旅館業として創業し、明治7年からお茶問屋として業態転換した老舗お茶屋「あづみの茶 胡蝶庵」。
お茶屋の初代・三原次郎が、お茶の原料である荒茶を二次加工・製茶して販売する卸売業として創業したのが当店お茶屋の始まりです。
北アルプスの雪解け水が清らかに流れる湧水の郷・長野県安曇野市に本店を構え、現在ではお茶に合うお菓子の製造・販売や和喫茶(カフェ)の運営も行っております。
The Story of Kochouan, Passed Down Through Generations in AzuminoFounded in Keicho era(1604) as a traditional inn, Azumino Tea Kochouan transitioned into a tea wholesaler in Meji era(1874).
Established by Jiro Mihara, the shop refined and sold raw tea leaves.
Typically, businesses purchase ready-made products to sell directly to their customers.
At Kochoan, however, we take a different approach.
Instead of relying on pre-processed goods, we carefully select raw tea leaves, known as aracha, and process them in-house.
This meticulous method not only ensures superior quality but also enables us to craft a product that is distinctively our own.
Today, in Azumino City, Nagano, the shop not only crafts and sells confections that pair perfectly with tea but also operates a traditional Japanese tea café.
